About the Candidate
Don Salcedo is the democratic candidate for Missouri State Representative from District 20 in Callaway County.
Don grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, where he attended public schools. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a degree in education. Don taught school until he left the classroom in 1975 to become a professional staff employee of the NEA in the Virginia affiliate. After working in three other state affiliates of the NEA for 20 years, Don came back to Missouri. In 1995 Don moved his family back to Missouri in Fulton. Don and his wife, Nancy, have six children; their two youngest graduated from Fulton High School.
Don's advocacy for children and their health and welfare is genuine and sincere.

- Work to provide adequate funding for public schools in Missouri
- Work to provide access to quality health care for all Missouri citizens
- Work to move state employees salaries from 50th in the nation up to the national average
- Work to protect family farms and keep corporate factory farms from moving into Callaway County and Missouri.
